Mille Fleur chickens are beautiful, calm, and sweet-mannered. They have big personalities and these chickens make ideal pets and show birds. The D’Uccle has a single comb and red/orange eyes starting at the head.  They have a muff and beard which extend around the head, giving the appearance of an ‘owl head’. Their feathers are a rich red/brown almost mahogany base with a black iridescent crescent band in the mid feather region. The tips of the feather are reminiscent of a white half-moon.

Although they are not renowned for extraordinary egg-laying abilities, they put out between 150-200 small, white, or tinted eggs. Males weigh in at 26oz and females weighing 22oz.
